Public Speaking

Caroline Voaden is an inspirational liberal thinker and politician. A passionate speaker, she uses her sharp intelligence and wit to engage her audience.

Widely respected in the European Parliament for leading the largest pro-EU contingent of British MEPs, Caroline is one of the liberal left’s most eye-catching politicians.

More Liberal voices

Our media is heavily biased towards right wing voices – especially in our newspapers. Strong, engaging voices on the liberal left are vital to balance the commentary we read and hear.

Causes

As CEO of Devon Rape Crisis & Sexual Abuse Services Caroline campaigns for long-term secure funding for survivor support services and for prevention work to be taken seriously. She believes Violence Against Women is a societal issue and needs to be taken far more seriously.
After losing her husband to cancer, Caroline went on to chair a national charity that supports young, widowed men and women, while raising two young children alone. She is passionate about issues surrounding mental health and parenting.

Liberal Democrats

Caroline joined the Liberal Democrats the morning after the EU Referendum in 2016 and within three years was representing the people of SW England & Gibraltar in the European Parliament. She went on to be elected leader of the 16-strong delegation and spoke passionately and movingly about Britain’s place in the EU until the day she had to leave.

Question Time

Caroline was the only pro-EU MEP to appear on Question Time for over 20 years and has appeared on Channel 4 News, the BBC Today programme, ITV news, Good Morning Britain and dozens of regional TV and radio broadcasts.

Author

She has had two books published and writes for various national publications on issues from bereavement to Brexit.
